Steve, Sam and Scott are giving up meat and dairy this January to raise awareness of the link between the climate emergency and meat and dairy foods.
Giving up meat and dairy is a big change for our diets – so we’re asking you to help us stay motivated by getting involved.
CFFC and Calderdale Council launched the £1m Climate Emergency Fund launched this year. This fund is helping community groups across Calderdale to upgrade historic properties and make them fit for a low carbon future. It is helping people to change their travel habits and live greener lives. It is educating people and getting them involved. Living in the Valley, we understand flood risk all too well. Every project we fund makes our future cleaner and safer.
Vegan food has a really low carbon footprint – so it’s a healthy choice for the planet. Focussing on eating more fruit & veg is good for us, too.
Can you make a donation today to strengthen our resolve this month? Or simply make a vegan meal choice yourself and share this on social media?
We’ll be tweeting about our journey with the hashtag #VeganuaryCdale – join us over on Twitter to find out how it’s going.
We’ve set a fundraising target of £5,000. As carrot to encourage you to give, the Community Foundation for Calderdale are generously offering to match fund everything we raise up to £5,000 during January.
Can you help us get there to fund more amazing climate projects in our beautiful Borough? Find our more about Veganuary here: Veganuary | Home | The Go Vegan 31 Day Challenge
