W Marsden Charity Lyke Wake Walk for Aurora Centre
This year W Marsden Ltd. and a group of associates have decided to take part in The Lyke Wake walk, a 40 mile self guided crossing of the North York Moors from the village of Osmotherley in the west, and Ravenscar in the east coast. The challenge covers the highest and widest part of the North Yorkshire Moors covering 40 miles and 1500m elevation. Our goal for every member of our team to complete the challenge in under 18 hours.
As a company as a whole we have selected 3 charity’s Aurora Well-being Centre Mexborough, The British Heart Foundation and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust between 15 participants.
I have decided to donate all the money I raise to the Aurora Centre Mexborough. The Aurora Centre offer information, help and support for people that are affected by cancer along with families and friends who also may need support. Anyone diagnosed with cancer receives a free package of support, including access to our well-being programmes and holistic and beauty/hair treatments designed to help during their treatment and beyond.
