Help Get Wales to the 2025 Homeless World Cup in Oslo, Norway.
Street Football Wales want to head to Oslo with a men's and women's team to compete in the Homeless World Cup. Riding high on a sea of red jerseys and iconic Welsh Bucket hats, a men's and a women's team want to compete at the 2025 Homeless World Cup.
Street Football Wales is preparing to select the female and male national squads to represent their country at the competition. Our international squads aim to use the positive power of football to raise the profile of social exclusion and homelessness on a national and global stage, as well as challenge the perceptions of people caught in a cycle of homelessness.
For the players, taking part in national and international competitions and representing their country is not about just turning up and playing, it is about the journey each player has gone through to reach the pinnacle of their involvement in Street Football. It is truly inspiring watching the players develop, building their self-confidence, supporting and channeling them towards our partners, where they can receive the help they need to turn their lives around and reach their full potential. We are always in awe at the impact our football programme has on players when they are selected to represent their country at national and international competitions. The memories of these experiences allow the players to build unfathomable resilience. We are fundraising to support our players’ training costs, travel to Oslo and accommodation.
