We will deliver bespoke Careers and Work Related Education activities for school students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities in special schools and specialist centres in mainstream schools in Tower Hamlets. Activities will include: aspirational visits to employers and/or colleges; supported work experience placements; a business enterprise competition; employability awareness & skill workshops. All activities will be supported by business volunteers providing positive role-models.

Our programme aims to support young people who are the furthest away from the labour market because of life-limiting physical and/or neurological disabilities (such as profound autism). Traditional and mainstream forms of education and routes to employment are often inaccessible. Our project helps to breakdown these barriers, providing new experiences and skills to increase self-belief, raise aspirations and support greater independence whilst raising awareness with employers.

We will support a minimum of 10 students through a full academic year of activities.
