Dear Parents/ Carers,   Since January, Woodlands has worked closely with a charitable organisation called Ordinary Magic who provide mental health and wellbeing support for children and their families. During the past few months we have needed their support more than ever. They have signposted many families towards counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, behavioural experts and a wealth of support systems bespoke to the needs of the family. We are truly grateful for this and what they have done to support our school and the wider local community however this comes at a great cost. Ordinary Magic are a non-profit organisation and are in need of help to continue their exemplary support system. For example, they pay £50 for a child’s needs to be assessed in order to ensure the right support reaches them and to have the highest possible impact and pay £65 per session for Psychotherapy for those children most in need. This year alone they have worked with over 1,500 beneficiaries in Solihull to give children the best support possible to move through adversity.  As wellbeing is central to our children’s education at Woodlands we wanted to showcase to children the impact one person can have to support others and frankly change someone’s life. We would like to encourage families to ‘Step into Action’ for Woodlands Infant School.  We are asking you to gain as many sponsors as you can via our Local Giving page to step a building of your choice and raise money for Ordinary Magic to continue doing the exceptional work that they do. Whether you take on a challenge for yourself, or share it between the family is your choice but we actively encourage you to become involved in such a worthwhile cause. We aim to raise £1,000 for the Not for Profit Organisation.

Thank you so much in advance for your support. We know that for some families, finances may have dipped during this period and even a small donation from everyone would go a long way!

Kind Regards,

Mrs T Wood
