On Saturday, 6th September 2025, participants will take on the Worthing Five Peaks Challenge - a scenic yet demanding hike across the South Downs National Park, north of Worthing, West Sussex. This stunning 18-mile walk covers five 'peaks' and offers not only breathtaking views but also a powerful opportunity to support vital suicide prevention work.
The event takes place during World Suicide Prevention Week and all funds raised will go directly to Olly’s Future, a suicide prevention charity dedicated to saving the lives of young people. It was set up to create a legacy of hope in memory of a young man from Worthing - Olly Hare - who died in 2017 aged 22 years. He loved to walk on the downs with his family.
Olly's Future needs £8,000 a month to continue its vital work—delivering education, training, and support to reduce the risk of suicide. We have delivered our 'Talking about Suicide:10 Tools' training to over 6,000 people worldwide, and in particular to healthcare professionals, medical students and student nurses as part of our bespoke programme teaching life saving skills to the doctors and nurses of tomorrow.
Fundraisers taking part in the challenge are calling on friends, family, and supporters to get behind them. Your help can make a huge difference.
