Leeds to Scotland and Back in One Day
We are raising money for Sunshine and Smiles - Leeds Down Syndrome Network
They organise free groups and events to improve the lives and opportunities of children and families living with Down syndrome in Leeds. This includes speech and language therapy, regular groups and activities, individual support and advocacy for families, as well as raising awareness and challenging preconceptions in the wider community.
On July 15th we will be cycling from their base in Stainbeck Leeds, we will be setting off at 4:30am aiming to get back at 10:30pm. It is a 242-mile ride with around 16200ft of ascending involved!! Going to be a long day in the saddle.
There will hopefully be around 8-10 of us doing the whole ride but more are welcome it is independent so everyone has to have their own insurance etc.
