On the 16 May, together with some colleagues from work, I’m taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge; a 24-mile hike across three of Yorkshire’s biggest hills. It’s a tough challenge, but one we’re doing for a cause that really matters.
We’re doing this to raise money for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, an incredible charity that supports young people struggling with suicidal thoughts and works tirelessly to prevent young suicide. It’s a cause that means a great deal to me personally, and the work they do really does save lives.
I'm usually pretty fit but, after some back issues over the past year, this challenge is going to take some training. Knowing it’s for such an important cause will make every uphill step worth it.
So over the coming months I’ll be putting the miles in, building the fitness back up, and preparing my legs for 24 very hilly miles across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
If you’re able to support the challenge and donate to this brilliant charity, it would mean a huge amount. And if nothing else, you’ll be helping motivate me when I’m halfway up a mountain!
Thank you so much for your support! 😀
