Cathays Community Centre has a long tradition of supporting young musicians and people with additional needs to express themselves through music.
This may be from individual and group tuition, to recording sessions and then opportunities to perform at events.
All of this costs money! We have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers helping making this happen. Help us fund their development by donating towards equipment and building maintenance costs, and paying our amazing support staff!
Every Monday evening 6-8pm something special happens at our Community Jam Club. People of all ages (10+), backgrounds, and musical experience come together to share, learn, and create music in a warm and welcoming space. From reimagining classic covers to composing original jam tracks, we’re building more than just musical skills—we’re building connection, confidence, and community.
It’s completely free to attend, and we provide all the instruments. Whether someone’s picking up a guitar for the first time or joining in on a drum groove, everyone belongs here.
This space has become a weekly highlight for many—a place where people feel heard, supported, and inspired. It’s not just about music; it’s about friendship, expression, and wellbeing.
Thanks to the incredible dedication of our staff, volunteers, and the enthusiasm of our members, this club has grown into a lifeline for some and a joyful outlet for many. But we can’t do it without your help.
Your donation helps us keep the music going—by maintaining instruments, covering session costs, and making sure this vital space remains free and open to all.
If this sounds like something worth supporting (we think it is!), please consider donating
