Zumba Dance Party (ZDP) for Mothers for Mothers

As some people know, I suffered with my own mental health after having my second daughter. But over the past year, with the support of my family, friends and outlet of Zumba and our ZDP GirlBand, I have recovered and feel like Amy again. One of the things I found most important in my recovery was talking about how I felt, openly, and removing the stigma attached to suffering with mental health as a Mum.

I was given the details for Mothers for Mothers and whilst I did not reach out as we went into lockdown and life changed for me quickly, I researched the incredible work and support they do to help other Mum’s who need it.

Mothers for Mother’s are celebrating their 40th year this year and I want to help raise some money for them.

For me, Zumba and dancing helped me during the period I was unwell. As a Zumba Instructor I was dancing 3 times a week and it made me switch out of my head and feel good for an hour at a time. It really helped me.

So what better way to support this incredible organisation than by raising money whilst dancing away?!!

Come and dance with me on Saturday 27th March at 10am in the comfort of your homes for this amazing cause. The whole family can get involved!

It is my hope we can raise as much as we can for this amazing charity whilst also raising awareness of the work they do, and help people to have an open conversation about their mental health as a Mum.
