Last year myself and two friends took part in this ride for the first time to support Up and Downs, it was a long day but well worth it and we raised a good sum of money for the charity.
The charity offers great support, guidance and friendship to families of children with Down's. The charity has recently found premises where they are able to extend their services to include Makaton signing courses, speech and language therapy sessions, messy play and sensory activities. In addition to this, the group hold a monthly weekend session where families can meet and take part in a range of fun sessions.
Up and Downs is entirely reliant on charitable donations, with this in mind we have decided to it again and ride from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey on the 15th June 2018. The distance is 105 miles and the route is not an easy one, the ride will be a physical challenge for us but more importantly it provides me with a great opportunity to raise money for a worthwhile charity that will help those who use the group to continue to do so.
I have set a goal of raising £1000, this would mean so much to the group and allow them to offer much more to many more.
100% of donations will go to Up and Downs, I hope you will help me achieve my goal!
