I'm running the Eden Project half marathon on Sunday 13th October, eek.
I've decided to raise money for St. Petrocs, homeless charity. This time last year I slept outside the Biomes at Eden for the same cause, and decided to support them in a different way this year. I was very moved after hearing first hand-stories from those who had found themselves homeless and learn of the amazing work St. Petrocs do to help people rebuild their lives.
What your gift could provide:
£10 - A personal hygiene pack to include essential toiletries, underwear & socks
£25 - A client with a pair of new boots
£35 - Cutlery, crockery & small electricals for a resident to move on
'At St Petrocs we believe homelessness shouldn’t be an issue in our society. We believe that for anyone facing homelessness, for whatever reason, there should be the care and support they need to help them.
We help hundreds of people who find themselves homeless each year through our services. The aim is to ensure that each person without a home is given the opportunity and support to rebuild their lives.
The numbers of people in need never end. For every person we rehouse, another appears. Our services are in the greatest demand they have ever been.
With your support we can end street homelessness in Cornwall'.
Thank you so much for your generosity! x
