Sleep Out for St Petroc's Homeless Charity 2017

On 9th November 2017, I will be taking on the challenge of sleeping out for the night to raise funds for St Petroc's Society, who provide accommodation, support, advice, training, and resettlement services to single homeless people in Cornwall. St Petroc's have recently launched a campaign to end street homelessness in Cornwall - a bold mission. Based on seeing the fundraising work they do first hand (Jessica works for them) and hearing how the charity has transformed the lives of hundreds of people, I want to help out by raising some much-needed funds to help with their aim. Although the Sleep Out event doesn’t aim to replicate homelessness, it does show participants some of the realities – the cold, the damp, the noise and the difficulty of carrying on the next day with little sleep.
