Team Fundraisers

In order to continue its work, the Charity needs to raise funds and this is one of the core background tasks the Charity carries out. These core activities themselves cost money and the Charity is extremely pleased to have recently received a donation of £1,500 from the Co-operative Membership Community Fund. This fund is provided my members of the Co-op who chose to donate their 'dividend' to charity. It is done on a local basis and the members chose which charities should benefit.

Why they need our service

Mike Robinson, Administration Assistant, said; "We are very grateful to local Co-op members for this donation - the background administration of the Charity is an important area, although one which not all funders recognise and contribute to, so this donation is very welcome".Photo shows Trustees Isobel Howard(centre) and Daryl Boswell(left) accepting the cheque from David Russell the Co-operative Membership Fund and Jamie Wink [right] Manager of the local Co-operative store.

Plan and expected results

Acquired brain injury has the most devastating effect not only on the injured individual, but also on their families. Bones can mend but an injury to the brain is lifelong and affects the way in which a person thinks, feels, and behaves. The Charity is working hard to provide much needed support to patients and their families. By having sufficient funds to cover these core activities and running costs, the Charity would be able to devote its time to helping those with acquired brain injury.
