Since I can remember, swimming has been one of my favourite sports, and on September 20th, I’ll be diving into the Serpentine alongside other volunteers from West London Welcome as part of the Swim Serpentine Charity Day. For the past year, I have been volunteering at West London Welcome once a week, mentoring refugees and asylum seekers for their GCSE exams. In that time, I’ve seen first-hand the close-knit, family atmosphere and incredible support that the centre provides. West London Welcome is not just a community centre, it’s a safe space where refugees and asylum seekers can find belonging, support, and the chance to flourish. It would mean so much if you could support this cause by making a donation. Thank you!
