****SPACE sponsored walk**** I will be Joining: SPACE Who will be joining the National ADHD Sponsored Walk for a family walk around: STANBOROUGH LAKES, WGC, AL8 6DF & PARK SATURDAY 29TH JULY FROM 11AM..... I always knew something was different whilst growing, but it wasn't until I was 27 that I finally got my diagnosis of ADHD. Although I knew a little about ADHD due to a family member having been diagnosed much younger, I knew it was now time for me to look into it in much more detail and learn all I could. It was during this research period that I first found "ADHD Worldwide" and form a good friendship with the founder of the awareness group. Following on from this and after many conversations about how to raise awareness for the condition and how it often seems to be labelled a child's condition, yet with many adults suffering, often silently, that ADHD Worldwide approached the ADHD Foundation with the idea for a Charity Walk that various support groups could all do separately whilst receiving the backing of the national and well known organisation. It was in this time that I became aware of SPACE Support Group - Herts, and having found such a great group which offers so much support and also being local, I knew I had to join this walk to help raise awareness and support my local group at the same time. Now I ask YOU for your help and support, as Tesco say "every little helps" so please take a moment to donate what you can, and together we can help to raise the awareness of ADHD, ASD and Co-Existing conditions. And finally I want to take a moment to say I don't find having ADHD as a disability, but more as a Different Ability! Thank you for your time & Support Ashley :-)
