Alex, a senior support worker for Motiv8, and her partner Andy are planning to cycle 5,000 miles from one side of America to the other. They will start in New York before cycling to Oregon in the North West and down to LA along the Pacific coastline. They are using designated cycle routes from the Adventure Cycling Association, Transamerica and Pacific Coast route. Alex and Andy have decided to donate money raised from the trip to Motiv8.

Alex says,"I have had first-hand experience of the astounding positive effect and influence Motiv8 has on young people, their families and their local community. Young people are our future generation so we need to invest in them NOW to make an active change, after all they are our future leaders."Motiv8 chief executive, Charlie Adie says, "We are delighted that Alex and Andy are raising funds for Motiv8 in this exciting adventure. We wish them well."

On completion of the cycle ride Alex and Andy hope to raise at least £2,500+ that will allow Motiv8 to offer 1-to-1 support to a young person for a whole year.
