Walking to raise money for the National Deaf Children's Society! - Please check the Access 2019-2020 Charity appeal at the top of this page for more information on this awesome charity and the great work they are doing every single day!
On Weds 10th I’ll be taking a pop at the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to try and raise some money for the National Deaf Children’s Society.
As an added incentive any donations for £5 or more can take a guess at how long it will take to finish, with the closest time winning £20.
So what is the challenge? Well for those that don’t know the Yorkshire 3 Peaks is 24 miles (38.6km) – to complete the challenge you need to finish in under 12 hours. Easy enough right? Well there are 3 of Yorkshire’s highest mountains in the way, Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough which make up a total 1585m of ascent time throughout the day and are sure to leave even the most hardy walker with sore toes! This will be a self-supported walk so I will be carrying my own food, water and blister plasters!
