I am raising money for the Drop in Bereavement Centre as I wanted to help a local Newham based charity where I know the money is needed and will be used well to help and support local people during difficult times.
I started running two years ago and could only just get round the 400 metre track before resorting to walking but with the help and support of my local Run England group I have progressed to complete a half marathon.
Sadly we lost one of runners last year and after participating in the memorial run in December heard about the centre and the work it does.
Completing the marathon will be a huge personal achievement I won't be breaking any records on speed but will be achieving something I would not have dreamt I would be able to do two years ago.
