My nephew Henry has progressive hearing loss and has a rare condition called otosclerosis. He's only 6 and will be having a major operation very soon to hopefully make life better for him.
My sister (his mummy) Natalie and his dad Chris have been amazing throughout his life and they've had enormous support from the NDCS National Deaf Children's Society and CDA Cambridgeshire Deaf Association. Natalie is taking BSL lessons and the family have been involved with a BSL teacher coming to their home.
Without these charities my family would have struggled. So, to help out I'm going to be doing something silly, but in the hope you'll dig deep for two fantastic charities and to help children just like my Henry.
I will give up chocolate and wine for all of April, silly but fun and it will be hard!!!
So empty your pockets and donate whatever you can! Thank you xx
