I have taken a leap and will be running the Oxford Half Marathon in October 2026!

I have decided to run on behalf a fantastic local Oxfordshire charity call Home Start and would absolutely love your support.

I am not a natural runner, so this will be quite the journey and many hours of training can be expected, but I am excited to embark on this challenge.

Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire supports more than 200 families across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse every year. The charity supports vulnerable families who have at least one child aged five years or under. Families are matched with a trained volunteer who visits them at home each week to help them in the ways they need. This may be practical or emotional support, helping families navigate challenging times including issues such as isolation, low mental wellbeing, past trauma and family breakdown. The charity also runs weekly support groups for parents/carers and their children.

Parenting during the early years isn’t always easy, this is when it helps to have someone to turn to. Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire brings no judgement: just compassionate, confidential help and expert support.
