Include Youth is a regional rights-based charity for young people in or leaving care, from disadvantaged communities or whose rights are not being met to improve their employability and personal development.
Tina is a youth worker for Include Youth and has been for over 3 years.
"Everyday we have young people come through our doors, with their own stories, obstacles and personalities. As a youth worker I see young people excel, defeat their daemons and reach their full potential. This couldn't be done without the dedicated staff, the ethos of the organisation to "seek to make sure the voices of young people are heard and acted upon". The youth service funds are limited and restricting and we couldn't continue the work that we do without donations and fundraising. Please donate anything that you can to the Strictly Come Dancing event - in any way that you can."
Having taken up dance at the tender age of 29 for a bit of fun and fitness I ended up dancing competitively for Atendance Dance Company for 6 years winning a numbers of Northern Ireland and Ulster Championships in Hip Hop while performing at many shows and events. Ive dabbled in a spot of Am Dram also which saw me perform in the Grand Opera House and Waterfront Hall in productions of Grease and West Side Story. Nowadays I spend my time running Flight Gymnastics Academys full-time training facility which we opened last year and coaching the Elite Acrobatic Gymnastics Squad.
