UPDATE
I successfully completed the Sodbury Slog on Sunday 8th November in just under and hour and a half. The course was quite a bit muddier than last time I did it 2yrs ago but great fun, though I must admit I found the last mile a bit tough. Thanks to everyone who sponsored me.
The Willow Tree Centre has been working in South Gloucestershire and Bristol for the last 11 years, providing support for women and their partners facing crisis pregnancy and baby loss, as well as teaching programmes for schools, colleges and youth organisations. It has also been providing these services in Eastwood Park Women's Prison for 3 years.
In addition, it has also tailored all these services for people with learning difficulties.
You can read more about its work at the following link:

I have been a trustee of the centre for most of that time, and have been impressed by the range of fundraising activities people have engaged in to support the work the Willow Tree Centre does.
This year I thought it should be my turn to do something challenging to support the centre, so I signed up for the Sodbury Slog, that takes place on Sunday 8th November.
The Easy Runner Sodbury Slog is quite simply not for the faint-hearted! Forget roads - they're for wimps - this is nearly 10 miles of lung-busting, trainer-ruining, hill-climbing, multi-terrain challenge held over and through some of South Gloucestershire's most stunning countryside.
Attracting around 1300 runners annually the route uses the same paths, fields, ditches and mudbaths since it's original inception in 1990. The race always coincides with Remembrance Sunday and is preceded by exhortation, a two minute silence and playing of the Last Post, which sets the scene for a memorable day. The race is then started at 11:05.

Please help me support the wonderful work the Willow Tree Centre does.
