Andy Brown for York Down Syndrome Support Group

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Local Giving page. My daughter Darcey has Down Syndrome. She is now 6 years old and after a difficult start, following emergency bowel surgery, she is surpassing all our wildest dreams and makes us so proud every day. As well as the much needed help from family, friends, colleagues and health professionals since Darcey was born, we also had invaluable support from the York Down Syndrome Support Group for which we will be eternally grateful. I am running the Great Bristol 10K on 15th May 2016 to try to raise a little money as a ‘thank you’ for all their hard work and to help this worthwhile charity group to carry on providing such important support to other families. But most of all, I am running to try to make my wife and daughter proud, and to try to become a little bit more worthy of their love.
