Hello! Thank you for visiting my fund raising page for The Link Visiting Scheme. The Link is an amazing charity that I have volunteered for. It’s mission is ‘We aim to reduce loneliness, to promote friendship and to improve the health and well-being of our Link friends. We want to celebrate and honour older people in our community. It was surprising and sad to find out there are a lot of people especially older people who have very little social contact either due to having no family or just that they live far away. With family being so important to me and my grand parents a huge part of my life growing up I wanted to do something to help. Running the Reading Half marathon is a MASSIVE challenge for me! But I’d like to use it to raise funds and awareness for The Link Visiting Scheme and I appreciate any support you give! Love Anne Marie x
