Appreciate Group are raising funds for Nugent!

We are asking all of our kind employees to make a donation which will be provide a gift to a young person who is vulnerable, traumatised or disadvantaged.

Nugent are the only charity in the country which runs a ‘secure unit’ for young people which was recently graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

They offer secure accommodation with education for young people to help stabilise high risk behaviours, in the highest level of safety and protection.

Often these young people have been transported from other ends of the country for their own safety – they have a history of self-harm, alcohol or substance misuse, criminal, gang or sexual exploitation, challenging behaviours or often ‘missing from care’.

Nugent create an atmosphere where they feel valued and treated with dignity and respect, showing them that they are people of worth and feel good and confident about themselves.

Nugent also have a care homes for children and young people who are vulnerable or at-risk, along with Nugent House School which is for students with emotional behaviour and mental health needs.

As a team, we would like to ensure that these 60 young people have a gift to open on Christmas day.
