Provide 8 sprinkler heads around green supplied via a pump from a 2500 litre tank. A control unit allows the system to operate at night which minimises water evaporation. Tank is fed by mains water but also from local dyke via pump and pipework which is more environmentally friendly as it saves using potable water for ground watering.

Bowls is a sport for all and encourages fitness, social integration and mutual support. However facilities are relatively expensive and require ongoing maintenance. In particular, greens need regular watering otherwise the surface degenerates. During the last 5 years we have extended our facilities, by our own efforts, to enable more people to play and play more often. This places more strain on the green and, due to the increased size, our old watering system cannot cope.
