Last year when I was preparing for the Riff Raff Society Boxing Show I had the scare of my life as out of nowhere I ended up in hospital as a virus that took away my sight from me. At one point it looked like it was going to be a permanent deal and I don't mind admitting I was shitting a brick.
Thankfully I was blessed and recovered and in the process I got a greater understanding of how lucky I am to be healthy on a day to day basis. I don't take it for granted now.
So this year I'm back in the saddle to make a difference for two local kids facing hardship challenges of their own
Kayden Simpson (7) Severe Cerebral Palsy and Madison Shields (5) Kidney Cancer are this years beneficiaries. The Riff Raff are providing life enhancing mobility vehicle upgrade/modifications to improve Kayden's day to day experience and are hoping to provide Madison and family with her first ever summer (Respite) holiday..
I have been matched against the clearly talented Ryan Lockett who like me has a Thai Boxing past. So it looks like being a great match up and a real challenge.
Looking forward to a great night at the Curzon. Hope you can spare a few quid to help towards funding these great local causes
Cheers
Aaron
