On October 6th (yes, terrifyingly only three weeks away) I will attempt the Cardiff Half Marathon.
This isn't really in character, I don't 'get' running. But I am super proud to be running as part of team Gig Buddies, the amazing scheme that matches people with learning disabilities with volunteers who share the same interests, so everyone can enjoy the awesome gigs and events Cardiff has to offer!
I didn't have a great deal of notice, so the training is tough, and I'll be happy with any finish time that doesn't involve the sweeper telling me to get off the road. But perhaps more suffering = more money?
That's right, I am trying to raise £300 for Gig Buddies to keep on doing the brilliant work they're doing, and I want YOU to give it to me! For those of you who are interested, I will document my suffering, and it might be amusing to you. But first I gotta see the money!
