Hello Friends!
On May 20th I will be (slowly but surely) running the 13.1 mile course of the Hackney Half Marathon! It's going to be tough but well worth it, as all funds raised will be going to support KEEN London, an amazing children's charity I am proud to volunteer for and be representing on race day!
Please read on to learn a little more about KEEN London and why I will be running for them.
About KEEN London
KEEN London provides one-to-one support at free sports and activity sessions for children with additional needs or disabilities. The KEEN London ethos is that no child should miss out on the benefits of sports and physical activity. The children and young people who attend KEEN London sessions are paired with a trained volunteer coach for individual support during regular sessions which include a variety of sports and games, all of which are inclusive and fun!
Over 100 families across London are members of the KEEN family. Each year KEEN London staff and volunteers provide over 6,000 hours of supported care to children with disabilities. KEEN London provides all of its sessions free of charge and rely on the generosity donors and sponsors to survive.
If you can, please sponsor me for this event. All donations are extremely welcome and will go towards helping KEEN London continue to do the wonderful work it does….
