Starting at 4pm on 2 May, dads Ben Platts, Doug Withington, Hugh Bowring and Rob Forbes will be doing a non-stop 24-hour rowathon in aid of the Hatherop Big Build. The “School Dad Scullers” will be doing the sponsored row on an indoor ergometer set up in a pop-up gazebo in Coln Stores’ café garden, with the dads taking it in turns to row in one and two-hour stretches.
The final one hour will also mark the start of a May Bank Holiday village party at the shop, running from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday 3 May. The community event is being very kindly supported by the Coln shop and will feature a BBQ and bar, plus plenty of stalls and fun activities for children.
