On the 2nd of August I will be aiming to cycle at least 49 miles to raise money for BRAINBOX. BRAINBOX is a great North East charity which supports children and young people affected by brain injury, and their families.
Every 30 minutes in the UK a child will sustain a brain injury. Traumatic head injury is the most common external cause of disability in children aged 1-14.

Brain injuries, especially for children and young people, can be life-changing and need careful support and rehab to achieve the best possible long term outcome. Children don't just bounce back from brain injuries. The effects of brain injury may not be immediately apparent and may manifest themselves in later life. Children with brain injuries grow to become adults with brain injuries.
