Braking the Cycle — Charity Ride to Ireland

Hi, welcome to our page. We are two 16-year-old boys, Harley Russell & Noah Reid. In July 2026, we’re taking on a huge endurance challenge to raise money for Berkshire Women’s Aid.

We’ll be cycling from Reading to Rosslare Harbour, travelling via Pembroke. In total, we’ll cycle approximately 420 km each way, camping along the route before turning around and riding the same distance back home.

Our route begins from our homes in Woodley & Hurst, before getting on the historic Ridgeway at Goring, continuing through Devizes, Bath, and Bristol. After crossing into Wales, we’ll follow the south coast through Cardiff and Swansea, riding along the foothills of the Welsh valleys before reaching Pembroke and taking the ferry to Ireland. In Rosslare Harbour, we’ll stay with family before beginning the return journey.

This challenge is very personal to us. We have seen people close to us affected by domestic abuse and left without the support they needed. That experience has made it clear to both of us how important organisations like Berkshire Women’s Aid are in providing safety, support, and hope to those facing abuse.

Through this journey, we hope to raise funds, increase awareness, and help support safer homes for women & children who need them most. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a real difference.
