We are seeking to recruit volunteers to support vulnerable and ex-homeless adults in developing growing spaces across three sites in Newcastle. crops will be used to educate in cooking and eating. At Ouseburn Farm we will develop a market garden where surplus crops can be sold to the local community, we will also hold community information sessions on growing and cooking.
Why they need our serviceThe Brambles to Broccoli project is needed to promote healthy lifestyles, eating and cooking to vulnerable and ex-homeless adults.
Plan and expected resultsVolunteers to gain experience in working with vulnerable adults. Vulnerable and ex-homeless adults to be more health conscious through taking part in outdoor activity and learning basics of healthy eating and cooking.
