I'm taking up the challenge of doing the 100 K bike ride along with fellow riders and volunteers to support and raise funds for Big Red Bus Club in Charlton.
The Big Red Bus Club is a great (but little known) social hub for families with children under five. Over the past couple of years the club has started it's journey to evolve from being a stay and play area for the children to a family well being support centre. The journey has only just started and it's a long way to go.
My children have also benefited over the last 5 years from the club's presence. The kids form very strong bonds with others and pick up valuable social skills.
I'm trying to put something back into the community by raising some much needed funds.
The Big Red Bus Club is the result of a lot of hard work put in by numerous volunteers, both past and present, and most definitely is the envy of most local communities.
