***Reviving this fundraising page to be for my rearranged half marathon! I missed out on the last one with Covid but am back for the Big Half on 4th September.***
It's that time of the year again. The days are getting longer. The nights are getting shorter. The lambs are about to burst forth. And Chris is asking you for money.
This year I'm going for a lovely Cambridge (now the Big Half, in London) half-marathon, but the challenge is the pace! After three months of training and some good indications recently, I'm pushing for a sub 1:35 (which would be almost 10 minutes faster than my previous attempts). Not only do you have the opportunity here to push me towards that goal, but also to support an amazing charity.
The Reasons Why Foundation supports people coming out of prison by offering mentoring leading-up-to, and after release. The impact RWF has is huge: the national re-offending rate is 43.6% for prison-leavers, but for those going through the RWF programme, this drops to just 5% - not only changing hundreds of lives, but also saving the tax-payer money (a win win!).
It would mean loads to me and to the team at RWF if you'd consider chipping in - and I promise (!?) to run a little faster for every pound donated.
