Please help us raise the funds we need to rebuild a new home for Performing Room.
Due to residential development a 10 year building project to convert a once trade union office and derelict community center located in the heart of the famous Boot and Shoe Quarter of Northampton into a thriving modern day community creative hub is soon to be demolished. This campaign will enable us to relocate to another suitable premises where we can continue to use music creatively to forge new learning opportunities and create future pathways for local people of all backgrounds & abilities
Why the community needs us
We aim to re-build our purpose built community creative hub for it to continue to act as an important social outlet and support network for local people to regularly come together & take part in popular modern day music-centered activities. Now more than ever local people need security of a safe & sustainable dedicated space to tackle issues of low skill levels, poor health outcomes, isolation, exclusion & discrimination to help safeguard against further personal & social economic stress..
Our impact on the community
We aim to raise a total of £100,000 to renovate & refurbish a suitable property into a bespoke modern day music & multi-media well-being center & co-working space for up to 300 people with learning difficulties, a physical disability or with a history of mental illness, poor health, living in care & NEET to meet up each week & take part in local activities. The finances are broken down into £45,000 for building materials; £20,000 labour; £10,000 staff costs; £10,000 equipment; £15,000 core costs
