Who are we?
We are a group of students at The University of Bath undertaking a community action project to raise money, awareness and support for the local charity, Bath Welcomes Refugees (BWR).
Where will your money go?
BWR currently supports a dozen local families. They work to bring safety and security to those people persecuted and in danger in their own countries, aiming to help them settle in Bath and the surrounding area. BWR aims to maintain a non-partisan stance regarding party politics and religion so their one simple goal stays at the forefront of their efforts despite global, national or local events.
Examples of how your money will help:
- Find housing for Refugee families
- Support accommodation costs
- Pay for school equipment and uniforms
- Run monthly events to integrate refugees into the community
Why sponsor us?
In order to raise money for this extremely worthy cause we are walking 13 miles from Bristol to Bath on the 25th November. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by us, the charity and the refugees. All proceeds will go directly to Bath Welcomes Refugees.
