
The project will promote business and enterprise awareness to individuals and groups from disadvantaged communities inspiring them to overcome barriers preventing them from becoming self-employed; offering them the skills in business to start an enterprise. It is anticipated that approximately 96 individuals in total will benefit from the project.
Why they need our serviceWith high unemployment rate and difficulties in accessing jobs, most disadvantaged communities are now considering starting their own businesses. The demise of Business Link has increased the demand for business skills and awareness in some communities such as BAME. The awareness workshops have been designed to encourage deprived communities and groups to use their hobbies and creative talents to start their own businesses in order for them to fully participate in the communities they live in.
Plan and expected resultsIndividuals will gain or increase their confidence and the ability to make informed choices regarding how to turn a business idea into a prospective reality, have a better understanding of the skills and attributes required to develop a business idea, they will be better able to communication business and personal needs and take control of their own life and improve the quality of their lives.
