Caitlyn flies Reigate

My name is Caitlyn and I want to tell you some information. I'm raising money for Stripey Stork because it's my favourite charity and I'm running so that's how I raise money. I decided to dress up as Stripey (he is a stripey stork). I got the idea by watching the London Marathon and people were dressing up in silly costumes, e.g. a telephone box! I got this costume by my Mummy making it and it feels really comfortable to run in. Please can you sponsor me so I raise lots of money. I love running so much and I want to run the marathon when I’m a grown-up. For Run Reigate on the 17th September I'm running 1.1 miles and it is quite hard because I have to fly and run at the same time. I also have to run 12 miles before the race day. About Stripey Stork: Stripey Stork collect new and pre-loved items and distribute them to families in need in Surrey. Based in Redhill, Stripey Stork was started by a group of local mums in August 2013 who wanted to see the items their children no longer needed re-used in the local community. They collect donations of baby equipment, clothes, toys and other essentials and redistribute them via local professionals (health visitors, social workers, children's centres, etc). Since starting Stripey Stork has fulfilled 2,700 requests as well as running successful seasonal campaigns. Stripey Stork prides itself on passing on items in a great condition. They want the families who receive items from Stripey Stork to feel like they are receiving a gift and not a handout.
