Having known as a messed up kid before this, I have never quite been able to find a place or an activity I can call a solace. Despite being raised by great parents, I struggled to find something I can relate to, and be understood. I started taking part in hiking trips since the age of 8 but only became independent beginning college and have loved it ever since. I actively organise walks and summits with anyone who seeks adventure, and am a firm believer that training and doing summits is a great way to divert forms of stress and anger away in young adults.
The Reasons Why Foundation seeks to understand young adults who have offended/ committed a crime in the first place, and provide an opportunity and a safe place for them to understand themselves better. All these, for the sake of creating a safer community by reducing the tendency to re-offend, thus reducing the cost to the tax-payers.
