We are a group of friends from Scottish Borders.  We set ourselves the challenge of the Camino de Santiago and wanted to also raise money for a local charity Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre (SBRCC).. Having fun but also making some change and doing something good that will help others.  We hope that our efforts will create an awareness for this much needed resource within our community.

We are self funding the trip so that every penny donated goes straight to the charity.  Together we can make a difference.

SBRCC is and has always been, reliant on donations and volunteers. They would not be able to operate their varied and accessible service without the support and generosity of local people.

SBRCC provides, trauma- informed, person-centred, support services to survivors of sexual violence. Services are free, inclusive, non-judgemental, and confidential for survivors who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. They respect and understand how hard it can be to speak to someone about your experience of sexual violence whether it is a recent assault or whether it happened a long time ago.
When you contact SBRCC survivors can be reassured that..

  • We will believe you
  • We will listen to you
  • We will support you
