As is tradition now, as part of the Christmas Concert, Capsticks are again supporting a charity gift-giving scheme this year to ensure that vulnerable UK children have a special Christmas.
This year we have chosen to support Surrey-based charity Stripey Stork, an amazing group who collect new and pre-loved items for babies and children and rehome them with local families in need. .
This year Stripey Stork are running a Christmas campaign – Santa Stork 2015 – to provide brand new gifts for the local families they support.
As is stands we have 474 children on the list and 292 of their parents to provide presents for. There has been a brilliant response to the Santa Stork campaign with hundreds of presents donated, but Stripey Stork needs around £500 to ensure that it can buy all the presents outstanding on the list and to also provide a very modest cushion for the (inevitable) last minute emergency requests.
If more funds are raised than Stripey Stork need, any excess will be used to help families directly after Christmas, for example new mattresses for cots, spare parts for prams, etc
