Sponsored Silence at RTX London

Hello all, My name is Cara and I will be doing a sponsored silence dressed as the character Neo from RWBY. The charity I am raising money for is called RSVP (The Rape and Sexual Violence Project). This charity is close to my heart as I am currently on their waiting list to be seen. This is a estimated 7 months wait. The charity supports men, women and children with what it says on the tin and whilst I wait I would like to give something back. This is a small independent charity that has been running for 40 years this year. I felt the sponsored silence as Neo would be appropriate for two reasons ; 1) The character herself does not talk 2) Many survivors are scared to speak out after something of this magnitude so doing a sponsored silence seemed natural. Details of the day! I will be carrying out this event on the Sunday 16th September 2018 only. This coincides with RTX London at the Excel. I will be starting the silence from the moment I step out of the hotel in full cosplay (I will let you know what time that is on social media) all the way until I get back to the hotel that same day (again I will let you know when that is on social media) The only time I will talk is if security at Excel/RTXL needs me to due to any safety etc. I will be carrying a whiteboard with a sign on the back explaining what I am doing that day with a link for the fundraiser. As people are aware I talk a awful lot so this will be a challenge for myself. I also have my partner and friends making sure I won't say a peep!
