As part of the Captain Tom 100, I have chosen to support Flamingo Chicks and pledge to do 100 (full, not on my knees) Press Ups a day, every day in May - #May100
That will be 3100 press ups in total. Eek!
Flamingo Chicks is a small charity who break down barriers by providing inclusive dance classes for disabled children. They also provide a vital peer support network for parents and carers.
94% of parents said that Flamingo Chicks had helped them reevaluate what their child is capable of.
The dancers have a variety of needs including those who are blind, those with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism and cancer. These children are often excluded from social activities but Flamingo Chicks is essential for both physical and emotional well-being by providing them with these inclusive dance classes.
£10 provides a specially adapted tutu for a wheel chair
£35 pays for a teacher to lead a class
£65 provides sensory equipment for a class
Charities have been hit hard this year so I have chosen a smaller charity so every donation made will really make a difference.
100 full press ups a day is a lot - and if any friends want to join me in support each day then let me know - 👍🏻
Thank you so much
Happy Donating 😍
