Caroline's 1000 mile and half marathon challenge

If only everyone felt as comfortable and safe at home as Tigerlily here (cat in the picture). Home should be a place of sanctuary and safety, not fear. Sadly, for too many people this is not the case. And after what has been a devastating year for our economy and society, even more people are suffering and yet there is less public funding being made available to support those that are most in need. I don't have the experience, knowledge or the skills to help directly, but I can raise some money for those that do. 

In January 2021 I signed up to walk/run (or maybe crawl!) 1000 miles in a year, although I'm aiming to complete in 10 months. As a mid-way point, I'm running a half-marathon at the end of May. I should be running the half-marathon in Stornoway, but Covid had other ideas! To keep up the motivation I'm still running the half marathon as a virtual event, and as even more motivation I've decided to raise money for MK-ACT, a local Milton Keynes Charity that supports victims of domestic abuse. Please donate! Your money will support a great cause, making a tangible and instant difference to those who really need it, as well as giving me the motivation to keep running / walking and to reach that 1000 mile target
