Cassie and Leah unite for the final push!

Me and Leah met on an edventure short course called 'make' - we soon found that we share a lot in common - we are both creative women, passionate about community, supporting people, mental health and working towards making a tangible difference to our community. 

We also have both had our fair share of health difficulties in recent years that have held us back from following these passions for a whole variety of reasons. We quickly realised that in edventure Frome we had found a place where we could be supported to make these things happen without our health getting in the way - the team there and the ethos they create within groups is a truly inclusive and supportive one - they are passionate in supporting people be involved in meaningful endeavour and change making.


 It is an inspiring place.


When people talk about Frome, community, enterprise and a joining together of like minded people is something that is often diiscussed, it's full of community driven, grass-roots projects working hard to make a difference. A little bit of digging and you'll find that a number of these initiatives - including the Share Shop and Community Fridge have been set up by students at edventure.

The current start-up began yesterday - inspired by the 'Shed' movement in general and the Frome men's shed in particular we aim to create a young-peoples 'Shed'. A place for young people to come together and have the space and time to follow their their individual creative passions and create a network of support to make their ideas happen - to work towards a career that is meaningful to them or to simply meet other young adults in a supportive and appealing environment.

So, we are  reaching out to ask for your support - we are fundraising for our Start-Up - everything we raise will be used to set up this creative and supportive time and space - thank you for helping us make this happen!
