Raising money for FUN (Families United Network) should be fun right? So how on earth did we manage to get persuaded to put ourselves through the experience of walking over hot coals? Not exactly the activity usually associated with an accountancy firm you might think; however that is what we are doing. This could be your chance to see us sweating over numbers - 1236 Farenheit to be exact. A team of Partners and staff from Chancery will be walking barefoot over 20 feet of burning wood embers which will reach over 1200 degrees Farenheit. We are assured that training is not necessary - surely that can't be true - just a 'fun' seminar beforehand equipping participants in all the resources they need to walk unharmed over the aforementioned very hot embers. Here's to hoping the seminar includes the distribution of fireproof boots! We would be very grateful if you could sponsor us in this event helping to raise money for F.U.N., a local charity supporting children, young people and families living with disabilities in the Bedfordshire area. This is a very worthwhile cause and relies heavily on charity donations. So, please help us to make this a successful event, and get your own back on the ones that usually pull you over the hot coals regarding missing invoices, VAT returns and incomplete records. By all means come along on the night to support us, bring your cameras (and your fire extinguishers). Date: Wednesday 20 November 2013 Time: Spectators can arrive from 7.30pm, firewalking begins at 9.00pm. Venue: Red House Pub, 1 Wolverton Road, Newport Pagnell, MK16 8PG
