CCA are expanding the service that they offer to open a new Charity Shop on the Wokingham Road. Staff have been appointed and we are waiting for the lease to go through.

The shop would be located in Park Ward which, according to, the index of multiple deprivations, is in the top 30% of the most deprived areas in England. We will be able to help the local Community in terms of furniture provision, affordable clothing and household goods for the community, informal support and signposting to other agencies / charities that offer appropriate help. We will also be able to offer work placements / training to unemployed people wanting to find their way into employment

A successful outcome would be new clients from the local area coming to us for our support centre services. The shop will introduce a new sense of community and belonging in the local area as well as providing affordable household goods and clothing. We will also support and train volunteers to give them work experience, empowering them as they find their way back into employment.
