On 7th June 2014, my youngest son Ian who is 25 and I will be travelling to Nice in the South of France, to take part in one of the toughest cycling endurance events, the 'Cent Cols Challenge - Alps'. This event involves riding from Nice to Annecy and return. We will be cycling at least 120 miles each day, climbing ten(10) Alpine passes each day. Over the ten days we will climb 100 Alpine passes, these include many of the famous mountains raced over during the Tour De France.
One of my neighbours has three lovely little boys, the youngest of which has type 1 Diabetes. Ian and I would like to use our challenge as a means of raising funds for the Wish-CDG, this is an excellent charity that helps the families of children with Diabetes.
